Since his first solo CD, “This One’s 4U”, which was released in 2002, Bill McGee has survived prostate cancer, had nine grandchildren, retired after thirty years as a school administrator and music teacher, released seven different CD’s as the owner of the 804 Music Group and has come around full circle as a full time musician and recording artist. Bill’s latest release, THE TREE F LIFE is the new album from veteran artist, educator, Bill McGee. The album is a collection of 11 amazing performances and includes some of Bill’s best work over his 20 year career as a solo artist. The highlight of the album is the collaborations with over 65 musicians who are Bill’s colleagues, friends, former students, and current students. Along with his very talented peers, Bill has solicited the help of some heavy hitters in the music industry, such as; the great trombonist – Fred Wesley, saxophonist/flutist – Najee, pianist – Kevin Toney of The Blackbyrds, trumpeter extraordinaire – Tom Browne, with the phenomenal guitarist – – Freddie Fox, and the #1 hit bassist – Christian “Big New York” de Mesones.
